A little bit about Thomas

I provide holistic financial advice in Cheshire and the surrounding areas. I have worked in the industry for over 10 years for well known household names such as Lloyd’s Bank, Wesleyan Bank and St James’s Place. The main reason I became a financial planner was to help people make better decisions when it comes to their money. I enjoy helping clients build and preserve their wealth through tax efficient investing, protection and tax and retirement planning.

Could you be more financially savvy this tax year?

Graphic of people planning their investments

March, and spring more generally, is often a time for fresh starts. And now your tax allowances are getting one too. The new tax year begins on 6 April, giving you time to plan how you’ll use all those new allowances to your advantage.

Take your ISA allowance. It can be tempting to leave it until the last minute to use it up. But, if you’re able to pay into it at the beginning of the year, you’re potentially getting a whole extra 12 months of time for your savings to grow.

A review right at the start of the tax year, or just before it, can also help us spot if there are any tax incentives you could use throughout the year.

You might be surprised just how many people don’t do this - and miss out on money that’s rightfully theirs. These tax incentives can be things like increasing your pension contributions or charitable giving to help offset your income tax.

I can also draw up a cashflow model to bring this to life. The model allows us to explore and compare different strategies and scenarios, so you can see the difference it will make to your long-term finances and goals.

If you want to find out more about the savvy financial strategies I could help you with this tax year, feel free to get in touch.

I cannot recommend Tom enough - he provided a professional and personable service when I needed financial advice about my pension. Tom's knowledge was second-to-none - he was friendly and had no trouble explaining the options available to me clearly, as I had little knowledge of this subject. He worked around my schedule and was free to chat when I needed him - even if it probably wasn't convenient for him. An absolute pleasure from start to finish. Thanks again, Tom I cannot recommend Thomas highly enough. He explained everything clearly without jargon. He gave honest advice and listened to what I wanted.

I could not recommend Tom more, he is very personable, reliable and trustworthy. He will always go above and beyond to help his clients and ensure that they have the best advice and solutions for their needs.

He is very knowledgeable and informative and will keep you in the loop every step of the way. If you’re in the market for honest financial advice then look no further.

We would highly recommend Tom!

We've had the pleasure of working with Tom for the past few months and his expertise and dedication have been invaluable in securing our mortgage.

He's super flexible, professional and full of knowledge! We wouldn't even know where to start and he guided us through it all and explained everything so patiently!

If I could give more stars then I would!
