An adviser’s insight
Enjoy the feel-good factor of a financial spring clean
With the start of a new tax year, now is a great moment to take a little bit of time to get your finances in order and look ahead to the next 12 months and beyond.
I can help you take a fresh look at your finances and put a plan in place to help your money work hard for you over the next year. This can include ensuring that you’re maximising your new tax-free savings and gifting allowances.
We can also consider any important updates to your circumstances, such as a pay rise or promotion, or changes to your family.
Now is also a good time to review your longer-term goals and check in on your retirement savings. A cashflow model is an excellent way to do this as it can help to show how on track you are, if you need to make any adjustments, and the positive impact that even a few small changes made today can have on your finances over the long term.

Outside of work I’m a keen hockey player, umpire and coach for Newcastle Medics hockey club, plus I help with the running of the North East hockey league. I enjoy walks, a good book, computer and board games, music, sport (supporting Blackpool FC, Lancashire CC, Newcastle Falcons RU, ST Helens RL and the New York Jets), trains/engineering and history.
