Tackle tax year end with confidence
Tax rules can seem pretty impenetrable. With the new Budget, and so many different allowances and regulations to keep up with, it’s no wonder millions of us end up accidentally missing opportunities - equating to millions of pounds a year.1
In this case, ignorance really isn’t bliss. And by confidently preparing for tax year end, you can be sure you’re getting all the money you’re entitled to - whether that’s by saving as much as you can tax-efficiently or just using your allowances to their full extent.
I can go through your financial position with you, so you’re ready for tax year end on 5 April. Did you know, for instance, that only 1 in 7 savers fully use their ISA?2 Or that you could be one of the 2m couples3 who aren’t making the most of their marriage allowance?
Together we can make this tax year end something to celebrate, rather than pass by. Get in touch for your tax year end review, or a cashflow modelling session to understand your financial position better.
For ISAs, Investors do not pay any personal tax on income or gains, but may pay unrecoverable tax on income from stocks and shares received by the ISA managers.
Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.
Stocks and Shares ISAs invest in corporate bonds, stocks and shares and other assets that fluctuate in value.

PH
After working in the financial sector for many years, I believed it would be simple enough for me to deal with my maturing Final Salary scheme benefits.
However, the complexities of the Defined Benefit basis, along with recent pension legislation changes, soon made me realise that most people I spoke to, in attempting to obtain vital information and guidance, were struggling to answer what I thought would be fairly basic questions.
When the option of exploring a benefit transfer was added, the situation in making the right decision for my hard-earned pension benefits, became deeply concerning.
The first ‘specialist’ IFA I contacted started well, but chose not to progress with their advice, due to the complexities of the scheme basis coupled with the fast approaching festive period.
At that stage, I thought it would be impossible to find an IFA with the knowledge and expertise to be able to conclude the advice process in the short remaining timescale.
By sheer luck, from a long list of ‘suggested’ IFA’s, I chose Chris Hamilton from Quilter Financial Advisers, and can say that I was truly surprised, and very reassured, by his expertise and professionalism.
Chris handled every stage of the complex advice process with speed, efficiency and a level of competence that I feel would be difficult to match in the current financial environment.
Having worked with a number of financial advisers during my own career, I feel it is important to remove the element of luck, where possible, in choosing the right IFA. Based on my genuine personal experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Chris Hamilton and Quilter Financial Advisers to be a trusted, reliable and highly professional choice.
