Tackle tax year end with confidence

Tax rules can seem pretty impenetrable. With the new Budget, and so many different allowances and regulations to keep up with, it’s no wonder millions of us end up accidentally missing opportunities - equating to millions of pounds a year.1

In this case, ignorance really isn’t bliss. And by confidently preparing for tax year end, you can be sure you’re getting all the money you’re entitled to - whether that’s by saving as much as you can tax-efficiently or just using your allowances to their full extent.

I can go through your financial position with you, so you’re ready for tax year end on 5 April. Did you know, for instance, that only 1 in 7 savers fully use their ISA?2 Or that you could be one of the 2m couples3 who aren’t making the most of their marriage allowance?

Together we can make this tax year end something to celebrate, rather than pass by. Get in touch for your tax year end review, or a cashflow modelling session to understand your financial position better.

For ISAs, Investors do not pay any personal tax on income or gains, but may pay unrecoverable tax on income from stocks and shares received by the ISA managers.

Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.

Stocks and Shares ISAs invest in corporate bonds, stocks and shares and other assets that fluctuate in value.

I started working with Craig after initially getting my first mortgage with another broker. I originally only wanted some advice about mortgage overpayments, but due to how helpful the conversation was I decided to go with Craig for my next mortgage.

I hadn't realised that my previous adviser hadn't explained interest rates, early repayment charges, or porting - I came away with a worse deal which has ended up costing me a lot of money when rates went up because of the poor advice. Craig has worked within the mortgage team at a building society previously, giving him a lot of specialist knowledge which has hugely benefitted me and the deal I was able to secure as he knows the systems and processes so well. Craig has now helped me to secure my new mortgage, and to then port it later in the year.

I've been so impressed with his level of knowledge and how he treats me (as a young woman who can often be patronised around these subjects) with the utmost respect. His advice is thorough and he ensured we talk about all possible areas, including income protection, which I also hadn't been informed about previously.

Alongside his expertise Craig is warm and friendly, and always replies quickly - I've really liked working with him, I'll be going to Craig for my next mortgage, and I trust him enough to have recommended him to one of my colleagues.

Craig's service is outstanding.

My partner and I have used Craig to support us with our residential and personal buy to let mortgage, life insurance and pension schemes. He has additionally brokered our limited companies buy to let investment property mortgage.

Craig's holistic approach means he really took the time and care to understand our circumstances, outlook and goals before suggesting the best options available to us. Based on our experiences, we trust him implicitly to be meticulous in sourcing the most advantageous products for us and delivering completion in a highly organised and timely fashion.

We have recommended Craig to a number of members of family and friends who have completed mortgages, pensions and protection with him and subsequently provided equally positive feedback of his professionalism.

Firstly, dealing with Craig has been a pleasure, my partner and I both commented on his patience and knowledge during our conversations.

He really explained the reasons and importance of protecting our mortgage by having Life & Critical illness insurance. Something our previous Financial adviser had not mentioned.

Would happily recommend his services and have!

I needed advice on a mortgage due to looking into buying my first property. Craig was recommended to myself by a colleague who had used his knowledge and skills to acquire their own mortgage.

Craig was very helpful and knowledgeable from the very first email and carried on throughout the process. He covered all aspects of the mortgage application in great detail and shared his knowledge to help me through the process which I knew nothing about. Every conversation I had with him filled me with confidence with his approach of the application.

He also took time to get to know me during each call which was a lovely touch. Very trustworthy, knowledgeable, helpful, punctual, patient and friendly.
