A little bit about Ian

I have over 15 years of experience in financial services and I am a Chartered member of the Institute of Securities and Investments. Before moving to Poole in 2017, I spent my career in the City of London, working in various roles including Wealth Management and Stockbroking.

Tackle tax year end with confidence

Graphic showing an alarm clock in front of a calendar and a pile of coins

Tax rules can seem pretty impenetrable. With the new Budget, and so many different allowances and regulations to keep up with, it’s no wonder millions of us end up accidentally missing opportunities - equating to millions of pounds a year.1

In this case, ignorance really isn’t bliss. And by confidently preparing for tax year end, you can be sure you’re getting all the money you’re entitled to - whether that’s by saving as much as you can tax-efficiently or just using your allowances to their full extent.

I can go through your financial position with you, so you’re ready for tax year end on 5 April. Did you know, for instance, that only 1 in 7 savers fully use their ISA?2 Or that you could be one of the 2m couples3 who aren’t making the most of their marriage allowance?

Together we can make this tax year end something to celebrate, rather than pass by. Get in touch for your tax year end review, or a cashflow modelling session to understand your financial position better.

For ISAs, Investors do not pay any personal tax on income or gains, but may pay unrecoverable tax on income from stocks and shares received by the ISA managers.

Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.

Stocks and Shares ISAs invest in corporate bonds, stocks and shares and other assets that fluctuate in value.

Ian became our Financial Adviser 18 months ago. He was a tremendous help moving from our previous FA after we relocated to the South Coast from Scotland. We hold meetings face to face or via video throughout the year.

Ian is very approachable and any additional questions we may have are promptly answered via email.

Andrew M.

Ian provided clear and accurate advice in a friendly and businesslike manner. He helped me select investments that suited my goals and aspirations.

Andrew

Excellent! Ian visited me at home twice and explained all of my pension options. They included some that I didn't know were possible.

He sorted everything out for me, including transferring my existing funds.

Ian talked me through the various options and we agreed on what was probably best for me. All was completed within a couple of months.

All in all, a great and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Thank you Ian.

Lesley

I was put in touch with Ian when I was going through redundancy. Ian helped me navigate that stressful and complicated situation with unfailing positivity.

He was unbelievably patient and clearly explained all my options. He helped me to consolidate pension plans which I had been putting off until I received down to earth advice that I could understand.

Ian has gone above and beyond to provide an excellent, friendly service. He has helped me enormously and I look forward to continue to work with Ian.

I could not recommend him more highly.

This was my first experience with utilising a financial adviser. Ian spent a great deal of time explaining how he planned to advise me and make himself available to answer any questions I may have.

His approach was and still is very professional. With the World in its current state he is able to advise in a way that helps you understand the bigger picture and allows you to make better informed choices.

I would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Andrew

Getting financial advice for my pensions was a worry for me, I thought it would be difficult and complicated.

Not so with Ian Futcher , an extremely down to earth and personable chap, who explained my options in an easy and clear way.

I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for advise in this field.

David

Ian was very helpful when I asked for pension advice - good clear communication with all options laid out.

I would recommend him for anyone needing financial advice.

When working with either individuals or businesses my aims are simple, help create wealth in a tax efficient manner, make sure that wealth is protected in a tax efficient manner and finally decumulate or pass on that wealth in a tax efficient manner. I achieve this by providing jargon-free financial advice so that my clients have the information they need to make informed decisions regarding their finances.

By getting to know my clients, I get to understand their objectives. I then work in partnership with them to outline how these objectives are best achieved and building a bespoke personal plan tailored to their needs. This could involve setting up new plans or reviewing existing provisions to see if they are suitable to meet these objectives. Once a plan is in place, I work with my clients to make sure they stay on track by regularly reviewing any plans in place also making sure assets are in the most tax efficient wrappers, whilst on target to meet future objectives by using tools such as cash flow modelling, and lastly altering plans if needed.

Please read some of my reviews and if you wish to have a no obligation initial consultation to see how I may be able to assist you with your financial planning needs please feel free to contact me to arrange.

Alongside helping clients, I give educational talks to the NHS, local government departments, and businesses on all aspects of financial and retirement planning.

I have also been featured in the national press discussing various financial planning matters in titles such as The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Investors Chronicle, and other media publications.

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family, take my children camping, cook, and walk my dog.
