How will my fee payments be affected if a bank holiday falls within the week of my payment?

All fees are typically generated five days before you receive them in your bank account and are paid by BACs three days prior to the day you receive them. If a bank holiday falls within the three-day BACs payment period, the day you receive your fee will be moved back by one working day. If there are multiple bank holidays during this period, then the payment will be moved back by the corresponding amount of days until the next working day.

For example, fees due to be paid on Friday 25 December (Christmas day) would have been received by BACs on Wednesday 23 December. As the boxing day bank holiday falls on Monday 28 December, payment will be received in your bank account on Tuesday 29 December.

Fees then due on Friday 1 January (New Year’s Day) would then be rolled back by one day and would be paid to you on Monday 4 January.
