Previous objective | To provide capital growth by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide that the investment manager assesses as making a positive contribution to the global transition to lower carbon sources of energy, such as companies involved in lower carbon energy production, distribution, storage, transport and the supply of related materials and technology. These are companies that either (1) generate at least 50% of their revenue from activities associated with the transition; or (2) meet the investment manager’s criteria for performance of a ‘critical role’ in the transition. The fund is actively managed and invests at least 90% of its assets in a concentrated range of equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide that the investment manager assesses as making a positive contribution to the global transition to lower carbon sources of energy. |
New objective | To provide capital growth by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide that the investment manager assesses as making a positive contribution to the global transition to alternative, lower carbon sources of energy, such as companies involved in lower carbon energy production, distribution, storage, transport and the supply of related materials and technology. These are companies that either (1) generate at least 50% of their revenue from activities associated with the transition to alternative sources of energy; or (2) meet the investment manager’s criteria for performance of a ‘critical role’ in the transition to alternative sources of energy. The fund is actively managed and invests at least 90% of its assets in a concentrated range of equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide that the investment manager assesses as making a positive contribution to the global transition to alternative sources of energy. Alternative sources of energy are sources that produce lower carbon emissions than traditional fossil fuels, such as solar, wind, hydroelectric and biomass. The fund may invest directly in China H-Shares. The fund may invest up to 15% of its assets (on a net basis) directly or indirectly (for example via participatory notes) in China A-Shares and / or China B-Shares through Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and shares listed on the STAR Board and the ChiNext. |
