To grow in value by more than the FTSE All-Share Index, from a combination of income and investment growth over a three to five-year period after all fees and costs are deducted by investing at least two thirds (but typically significantly more) in shares of companies listed on the London Stock Exchange that are incorporated/domiciled in the UK or which have significant business operations in the UK. The fund usually invests in the shares of up to 50 companies consisting of: • 10–20 large companies (such as those making up the FTSE 100 Index) • 10–20 medium sized companies (such as those making up the FTSE 250 Index) • 20 smaller companies (such as those making up the Numis Smaller Companies ex-Investment Trusts Index or the Alternative Investment Market (AIM)). |
