The Cirilium Portfolios delivered returns of between 0.9% for the Cirilium Conservative Portfolio and 5.4% for the Cirilium Adventurous Portfolio. Thanks to the strength of equity markets during the period, the higher-risk Cirilium portfolios outperformed in line with their higher respective allocations to stock markets. The higher-risk Cirilium portfolios also outperformed their respective Investment Association (IA) comparators thanks to their equity exposures in Japan, the US and Europe. However, the lower-risk profiles struggled due to their higher bond weightings with several of our active managers losing ground after positioning their portfolios for lower bond yields (rising bond prices) when, in fact, the reverse happened.

Investment involves risk. The value of investments may go down as well as up and investors may not get back the amount originally invested.
