The Cirilium Passive Portfolios delivered strong gains over the first quarter. The Cirilium Conservative Passive Portfolio added 1.4%, with returns rising steadily in line with the risk profile of each portfolio. The Cirilium Dynamic Passive Portfolio gained 5.9% over the period, while the Cirilium Adventurous Passive Portfolio performed especially well with a return of 8.7%. This was driven both by its 100% equity weighting, in a quarter when equities substantially outperformed bonds, and by the portfolio’s regional equity allocation. Unlike the other Cirilium Passive Portfolios, Cirilium Adventurous Passive holds no weighting in UK equities. Instead, it has a higher allocation to equities in other regions, especially the US, which was highly beneficial in a period when the UK trailed far behind the US.
