We know that providing advice can be time consuming and sometimes it may be in the best interests of you and your client to make small top-ups to their investments on a non-advised basis.
That’s why we provide an easy to use top-up service, through our online Customer Centre and app.
Clients can make additional contributions into their ISA or Collective Investment Account (CIA) in just two minutes, without the need for advice. It’s a simple process and any top-ups will be invested into their current portfolio.

This service is an optional feature that we offer to all advisers. Once activated, you'll be able to:
- Give your clients the opportunity to top-up their ISA or CIA in minutes.
- Earn your servicing fee as per your current arrangement. You’ll be responsible for ensuring suitability and record-keeping.
- Save time, allowing you to support clients with more complex areas of financial planning and focus on more profitable business opportunities.
How does the service work?
- Clients must be registered for the online Customer Centre or the Quilter app.
- Although no adviser initial fee is applied to the top up, any ongoing servicing fee on the account will continue uninterrupted.
- When inputting the top up, the investment is invested proportionately into existing assets.
- Where a client is invested in an earlier version of a model portfolio, which has been closed, the top up is allocated to cash and the client receives a warning message during the online journey. If they also hold ‘loose assets’ outside the model these would also be topped up.
- If you have enabled notifications via the platform, you will be notified when any activity takes place and you will be able to view details under ‘recent activity’ on the platform.
- The service is non-advised, and the client is notified of this during the top up process.
- Clients can pay for the top-up online, by bank transfer, debit card or by using cash held within their Collective Investment Account.
