A little bit about Owain

My role as a Financial Planner is to help you make the most of the resources available to you and align your finances to your objectives. I'll ensure that you are not missing out on any valuable opportunities or paying too much tax, and that you're making the most of the various allowances and reliefs available. We'll work together in creating a robust, tax-efficient Financial Plan that is both flexible and resilient to your changing needs & lifestyle. Whether you are still accumulating wealth, looking to capitalise on the wealth you already have, or looking towards retirement and beyond – I will be on hand to ensure you are making the right decisions, at the right time, for the right reasons.

Tackle tax year end with confidence

Graphic showing an alarm clock in front of a calendar and a pile of coins

Tax rules can seem pretty impenetrable. With the new Budget, and so many different allowances and regulations to keep up with, it’s no wonder millions of us end up accidentally missing opportunities - equating to millions of pounds a year.1

In this case, ignorance really isn’t bliss. And by confidently preparing for tax year end, you can be sure you’re getting all the money you’re entitled to - whether that’s by saving as much as you can tax-efficiently or just using your allowances to their full extent.

I can go through your financial position with you, so you’re ready for tax year end on 5 April. Did you know, for instance, that only 1 in 7 savers fully use their ISA?2 Or that you could be one of the 2m couples3 who aren’t making the most of their marriage allowance?

Together we can make this tax year end something to celebrate, rather than pass by. Get in touch for your tax year end review, or a cashflow modelling session to understand your financial position better.

For ISAs, Investors do not pay any personal tax on income or gains, but may pay unrecoverable tax on income from stocks and shares received by the ISA managers.

Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.

Stocks and Shares ISAs invest in corporate bonds, stocks and shares and other assets that fluctuate in value.

Testimonial 1

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed advice that was unique to my current situation. I am due to have a major life changing operation, which I was not expecting .This will require me to have a long period of time off work, with a complete life change afterwards.

How has Owain Blunkett-Evans helped you?

From the first phone call Owain listened to my situation and really took on board what i wanted to do. At that point I was not expecting to be able to get things sorted in time. Owain explained my options and answered all of my questions really clearly and even took the time for me to write down what he was saying. We arranged a meeting, with Owain offering to come to my house as i was struggling with completing the details online. At the meeting Owain gave me all of the positives and negatives involved with what i wanted to do. The meeting achieved everything I was hoping for, with Owain really understanding my situation, and what i needed to do to get things in place

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for? I managed to achieve more than I was hoping for

What could they have done better? Nothing, it was excellent.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Long term investment.

How has Owain Blunkett-Evans helped you?

Owain listened carefully to my requests and the reasons behind them. Owain pointed out the risk elements with suggestion of alternative route to achieve same end goal. I took Owain`s advice and all went well.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for? Yes a good timely outcome.

What could they have done better? Nothing, happy with the outcome.

I have worked in the financial services industry for over a decade. I take great pride in working with clients to help them achieve better financial outcomes. I do so by gaining a thorough understanding of what makes them tick and, perhaps most importantly, why. I work with my clients to set realistic and achievable goals, providing an objective soundboard for those big decisions in life.

Outside of work, I'm a keen rugby fan. Like any true Brit, I like to support the underdog - so you'll find me channelling my inner Welsh at internationals! I also enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and often travel the UK on shooting excursions - much to the annoyance of my Fiancé.
