Tackle tax year end with confidence
Tax rules can seem pretty impenetrable. With the new Budget, and so many different allowances and regulations to keep up with, it’s no wonder millions of us end up accidentally missing opportunities - equating to millions of pounds a year.1
In this case, ignorance really isn’t bliss. And by confidently preparing for tax year end, you can be sure you’re getting all the money you’re entitled to - whether that’s by saving as much as you can tax-efficiently or just using your allowances to their full extent.
I can go through your financial position with you, so you’re ready for tax year end on 5 April. Did you know, for instance, that only 1 in 7 savers fully use their ISA?2 Or that you could be one of the 2m couples3 who aren’t making the most of their marriage allowance?
Together we can make this tax year end something to celebrate, rather than pass by. Get in touch for your tax year end review, or a cashflow modelling session to understand your financial position better.
For ISAs, Investors do not pay any personal tax on income or gains, but may pay unrecoverable tax on income from stocks and shares received by the ISA managers.
Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.
Stocks and Shares ISAs invest in corporate bonds, stocks and shares and other assets that fluctuate in value.

I'm happy to say that I did benefit from the discussions with my financial adviser. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, provided advice and guidance as to my future pension and retirement plans.
I would definitely recommend him to friends and family and plan to contact him again when I am closer to retirement.
I have had financial advice in the past however this is the first time I feel confident in saying that I understand my options regarding my pension works and feel optimistic about my pension plans for the future.
Background: I have worked within the financial services industry for over 20 years, I originally started off within the insurance industry and then moved on to work within the banking sector. I have worked for two of the biggest banks within the UK, I have always wanted to be in a position where I can work for myself. I like the idea of having flexibility within my working week, and I know that through hard work and dedication I can make a successful business that will support me and my family for years to come.
Study: I have always wanted to educate myself to a very high standard, it’s important for me to have a high degree of knowledge, because I know my clients will see the benefits of working with an advisor that has taken the additional steps to have the increased knowledge and expertise.
Social: I enjoy spending time with my partner Sam and my cat Molly. I enjoy playing golf and I'm looking at reducing my handicap, so that I can potentially take my game overseas and experience some of the fantastic golf courses available within Europe. I have practised martial arts for a long time and gained black belt status, this type of training helps me stay fit and helps me focus my mind. I enjoy dining out, and as I'm getting older I'm preferring to go for a nice meal rather than spending time on the dance floor.
Aspirations: My goals are to manage a portfolio of my own clients, to build up healthy working relationships where I can utilise my experience and knowledge to help people with their financial plans. My Portfolio of clients is increasing all the time which is enabling me the opportunities to put into practise all of my years of study. I feel confident that I can help people with their financial planning, which includes things like trust and tax planning, pension and investment advice and having the right protection policies in place. I work in association with a fantastic company ‘Quilter’, utilising their experience and professionalism puts me in a great position and fills me with confidence when I'm in front of my clients.
